    I think this opens limitless possibilities, more than many other ideas.
    Enabling the Node.js API means we can use "any" NPM module without rewriting the parts that use Node.js APIs, for example, as of today we would have to rewrite/refactor the parts of the modules that use HTTP, FileSystem etc..

    please implement this in any way possible, it would be a entire new experience on developing stuff for mobile with nativescript

    Hey all, its been quite a while since we discussed node.js modules in NativeScript, but the first version of the node shims is now available. Please check the nativescript-nodify plugin. https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/nativescript-nodeify
